Located just three miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip, the Springs Preserve is an award-winning 180-acre family destination dedicated to exploring green living, desert life, and Las Vegas’ vibrant history through botanical gardens, interactive science and nature exhibits, animal shows, and trails offering hiking, biking, and train rides.
The Springs Preserve is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Hours may vary for classes and special events. The Springs Preserve is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The Nevada State Museum is open Tuesday – Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

EVENTS
Brews & Blues Festival
Kick off summer with red-hot blues, ice-cold brews and tasty grub at our 10th annual Brews & Blues Festival. This adults-only event features unlimited tastings from a large selection of breweries and live blues music from Shari Puorto Band, Shanda & the Howlers and Chris Tofield Band – hosted by Dave & Mahoney from X107.5. Saturday, May 11, 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 advance; $40 day of; $75 VIP; $15 DD (Silver and gold members and above receive 2 free tickets, platinum members receive 2 VIP tickets.) A portion of the ticket sales benefits Keep Memory Alive, supporting the mission of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in downtown Las Vegas.
Ice Cream Festival
Cool off with sweet treats by the scoopful — and enjoy some great live entertainment — as the Springs Preservehosts its annual all-you-can-eat Ice Cream Festival. The event features stations serving ice cream cones, novelties, sundaes, floats and more, with activities for all ages including face painting, an interactive dinosaur-themed training and carnival games. Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 children (ages 3 – 12), ages 2 and under are free. Tickets are free for Springs Preserve Silver State Members and above. Limited number of first come, first served kids’ ice cream making lessons tickets will be available for purchase during the event. Tickets are $3 per child (not included in event ticket).
Mother’s Day Brunch
Treat Mom to Sunday brunch delicacies at the Divine Cafe at the Springs Preserve. Sweeping city views and garden blooms create the perfect setting to honor special ladies. The Mother’s Day Brunch celebrates mothers with a tantalizing menu featuring Tri Tip with Chimichurri, Carved Chicken Marsala, Traditional and Vegetarian Eggs Benedict, hot bar of your breakfast favorites, cold bar featuring Lox and Bagels, fruit and yogurt parfaits, salad bar, dessert bar and more! Sunday, May 12, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission $35.42 for adults, $11.82 for children ages 5 – 10, plus sales tax. Brunch is free for kids 4 and under, with paid adult ticket. Springs Preserve members receive a free cocktail when card is presented at registration. RSVP and pre-purchase of tickets is required. EXHIBITS AND FILMS
Spring Butterfly Habitat
This spring wander through our unique Butterfly Habitat and witness the fascinating dance between butterflies, the plants that sustain them and their important role as pollinators in the ecosystem. You’ll emerge with a better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular animals. Exhibit open daily through May 27, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. but hours may vary on event dates. The Butterfly Habitat’s schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and special event availability. Admission to the Butterfly Habitat is $2 for members, $3 for non-members, ages 2 and under are free. Silver State members and above are free.
National Geographic: Earth Explorers
A highly interactive, hands-on, family-friendly exhibition that allows visitors to learn and use methods employed by National Geographic explorers in the field. Exhibit visitors will embark on an epic adventure through six themed and immersive environments to discover new species; study animal behavior; and learn about the important roles that technology, innovation, and ingenuity play in making and documenting explorers’ discoveries. Visitors will take a simulated ride on a hot air balloon to record the migration of herds across Africa and go underseas in a deep-sea submersible to survey life at all levels of the water column—from abundant coral reefs to deep-sea thermal vents.National Geographic Presents: Earth Explorers will showcase the work of some of the most innovative and exciting National Geographic explorers. On display exclusively at the Springs Preserve now through May 5, 2019, the exhibit is open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free for members or included with paid general admission.
Dinosaurs Unearthed
They’re big. They’re bad. They’re HERE. Picture a place where the dinosaurs stand taller than you ever expected and their voices thunder through your bones. Look up—way up! Dinosaurs Unearthed! features life-size, life-like animatronic dinosaurs, full-scale skeletons and fossils from around the world. Exhibit on display May 26 – September 3, 2019 daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free for members or included with paid general admission.
Virtual Reality Experience: Jurassic World: Blue
Thanks to Felix & Paul Studios, visitors to the Springs Preserve on weekend dates this summer will get the chance to go on a prehistoric adventure. In the six-minute virtual reality demonstration, viewers will track alongside Blue, the velociraptor, as she battles some of the jungle’s most threatening predators — all while a volcano erupts in the background. Weekends, May 25 – August 18, 2019, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., age 13 and older in the Origen Museum. Free for members or included with paid general admission.
Forgotten Horizons
Photographer Cody Brothers commemorated the 100th anniversary of “America’s Best Idea,” her national parks, by shooting stunning black and white photographs at six locations in Nevada and New Mexico. Exhibit sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Park Service. On display daily in the Big Springs Gallery, through June 23, 2019, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free for members or included with paid general admission.
Feature Film – Secrets of the Crocodile Caves (60 min.)
As the Springs Preserves readies for dinosaurs later in May, this film looks at one of the few close living relatives of dinosaurs alive today. Learn about African crocodiles and the animals sharing habitats with them in Madagascar that have remained unchanged for thousands of years. Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. through May 19. Free for members or with general admission.

Toddler Time
Bring your little ones to the Springs Preserve Thursday mornings for kid-friendly fun with a new theme every week! Recommended for ages 5 and under. 11–11:45 a.m. Thursdays. Free for members or with general admission.
Ride the Train
Take a guided, narrated ride on our life-size locomotive around the historical 2.2-mile Exploration Trail and learn the history of the settling of the Las Vegas Valley or take a quick transfer ride to and/or from Boomtown. Daily – weather permitting. Transfers to and from Boomtown, 9:30 – 3:30 p.m. daily, free for members, $2 for non-members. Full, guided train rides start at 11 a.m. daily. Check onsite for times. $3 for members, $5 for non-members.
Bike the Trails
Rent a bike and take a ride along our historical 2.2-mile Exploration Trail. Daily – weather permitting. Check onsite for times. $6 for members, $8 for non-members. Personal bikes are not permitted.

Get out and get moving with the kids! Join the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics for a free nature walk and health talk on our trails. Garden Guided Walks
Join our experts for a guided walk through our beautiful Botanical Garden. Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 and 2 p.m., tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. Free for members or included with general admission.
Bird Walk at the Springs Preserve
The Audubon Society will lead a walking tour to explore the many birds of the Springs Preserve. Join us as we learn just how diverse and wonderful our feather friends are. Saturday, May 11, 2019, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Free for members or included with general admission.
Drip Irrigation
Learn complete drip irrigation system installation from the street to the plants, including how to select and assemble components. Taught by the experts from SNWA. Saturday, May 4, 9 – 12 noon. Free. Pre-registration required.
Birds, Butterflies and Bees
Join guest teacher Denise McConnell to explore how hummingbirds, bees and butterflies dart from flower to flower collecting nectar pollinating your yard for a healthy garden. Learn secrets and top tips to attract these vibrant fliers to you yard. Thursday, May 23, 6 – 8 p.m. $10 for members, $12 non-members.
WaterWorks
WaterWorks, is an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of water-resource treatment and delivery in Southern Nevada. Learn all about the challenges and triumphs of the journey of water as you touch replicated quagga mussels, look at harmful water contaminants using a microscope, examine rock samples excavated from hundreds of feet below Lake Mead’s surface, and more. The WaterWorks exhibit, located in the operational Charleston Heights Pumping Station, is presented by the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Southern Nevada Water Authority and Springs Preserve, in partnership with ONE DROP, with contributions from the RBC Blue Water Project and Springs Preserve Foundation. Open daily 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Free for members or included with paid general admission. Train transfer tickets to get to Boomtown 1905 and WaterWorks are free for members or $2 for non-members.
Boomtown 1905
Be transported back to the era of Las Vegas as a flourishing railroad town at our new Boomtown 1905 exhibit. Walk through historical re-creations of the original train depot, Arizona Club, Majestic Theatre, First State Bank, Lincoln Hotel, and a mercantile. Encounter interpretive, interactive exhibits and period décor to learn about life in 1905 – 1920 Las Vegas. Take the Preserve’s trackless train to tour an original restored cottage, built by the railroad in 1910, and visit early businesses as you explore the faces and the places of Las Vegas’s past. Open daily 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Free for members or included with paid general admission. Train transfer tickets to get to Boomtown are free for members or $2 for non-members.
DIVINE CAFE
Divine Cafe Happy Hour
Happy hour comes to the Springs Preserve! Join us every Thursday for live entertainment, 4 – 8 p.m. Happy hours feature ever-changing specially priced food and cocktail menus including Divine sliders, street tacos, a blood orange cosmopolitan, and more. Drink prices start at just $2 for beer and $6 for wine. Thursdays 4 – 8 p.m. in the Divine Cafe.
Saturday and Sunday Brunches at Divine Cafe
Join us weekends at the Divine Cafe for a delicious breakfast before heading out to explore the Preserve! We open every Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. for spectacular views and a special brunch menu including quiche, frittatas, French toast, and more. Springs Preserve Admission Prices
General Admission (GA) for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students, seniors, teachers, and military, $4.95 for children ages 3 – 17, kids 2 and under are free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State Museum, open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission for nonresident adults is $18.95, $17.05 seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages 3 – 17, kids 2 and under are free. Special event and class admission prices vary and can be found at springspreserve.org.
Springs Preserve Membership
Springs Preserve memberships are the perfect way to share the Springs Preserve with family and friends and are available online or at the Springs Preserve Ticketing Office. All memberships include year-round Springs Preserve and Nevada State Museum access, discounts on activities, select events and in the Divine Cafe and Gift Shop, exclusive member previews, and more. Individual membership is $30, and a Value Family membership is $60 which includes two adults and up to six kids under 18. Donor memberships are also available.
