Aid for AIDS of Nevada Hosts 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas April 15

Individuals of all ages are encouraged to participate in the 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas. On April 15, registration will be on the north side of the UNLV student union building. Public parking will be available throughout campus.

Registration leading up to the walk is free, but a minimum donation of $50 per person is encouraged and includes an official AIDS Walk T-shirt. Participants may register as individuals, join an existing team or start their own team and are eligible for prizes based on their fundraising efforts. Walkers and teams may also join the Penn & Teller Challenge, where all funds raised by the team will be matched by AIDS Walk Grand Marshals and Las Vegas Strip headliners, Penn & Teller. For additional information and to register, please visit www.afanlv.org.

Over the past twenty years, AFAN’s AIDS Walk has become a signature community event and the largest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit. In 2011, more than 8,500 people walked, raising more than $461,000. In 2012, AFAN hopes to break all attendance, fundraising and community involvement records.
