This three-day event will immerse visitors in the Renaissance era with numerous villages and different guilds, activities, historical reenactments, live performances and an array of authentic period foods and beverages – truly an event that’s fun for the entire family!

The festival presents various shows per day along with historical re-enactments, jousting tournaments, medieval pageantry and more than 100 artisans – including blacksmiths, stained glass designers, jewelers, wood workers, toy makers, perfume blenders, stone carvers and sword, dagger and armor craftsman – to demonstrate and sell their wares. Guests looking to feast will be delighted in the variety of food and drink offerings including traditional fare such as turkey legs, Shepard’s pie, beers, ales and more.

Experience full-contact jousting tournaments from Imperial knights, live combat battles, no-holds-barred gladiator battles, black powder demonstrations, strolling minstrels, contortionists, magicians, storytellers, jokers, jugglers, flame eaters, belly dancers, trained parrots and pirates. Additional attractions include bow and arrow and axe target games, medieval barber and surgeon demonstrations, Princess Tea Party and storytelling, Scavenger Hunt and Renaissance guilds. This year’s live entertainment will feature music on various stages from Tempest, Gallows Humor, Bogtrotters Union, Killian’s Angels, Whiskey Bards and Sportive Tricks.

Event parking will be available at Del Sol High School (3100 E. Patrick Lane) beginning Friday from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., as needed. Overflow parking will be at Cannon Junior High (5850 Euclid Street) for all three days of the festival, only as needed. Free shuttle service is available to and from the festival grounds approximately every 15 minutes. Guests should refrain from parking at area businesses as they will tow unauthorized vehicles.

Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water, sunscreen, blankets and still camera. No unauthorized vending, concessions, merchandise, literature or promotions allowed. Any participants in costume must have all related props or weapons peace tied, or those items will be denied at time of entry. No carry-in food or beverages, pets, lawn chairs or weapons (with or without permit) are allowed inside the festival area. No re-entry is allowed. ATMs will be on site and located by the each entrance gate, next to the main food court and in the vendor village. Alcohol sales begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and sales will cease at 9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday evening and 4 p.m. on Sunday. All alcohol sales are ages 21+ with proper identification.

The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $13 per day in advance for adults ($15 day of event) and $8 per day in advance for seniors ages 60 and older as well as children ages six to 12 ($10 day of event). Children five and younger are free. Three-day passes can be purchased in advance for $30 for adults and $20 for children ages six to 12 and seniors ages 60 and older. Combo packs including three-day admission, an event T-shirt and an 18×24 commemorative poster are also available. Three-day passes and advance tickets are available through Ticketfly fees may apply. Event box offices will be open at the festival 9 a.m. daily during the fair.

Those looking to really get into the heart of the action and camp like royalty, can opt to go all out with the Preferred Plus Yurt Camping Package for $499 which includes a 14×14 pre-assembled yurt, 20×20 preferred plus camping space, early arrival pass, overnight camping Thursday – Sunday, parking spot, four three-day fair passes, four festival t-shirts and four festival posters. Camp spots are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Additional camping packages and amenity upgrades are also available starting at $199.
