American Cancer Society’s Power in Purple Campaign Announces Record Number of Local Distinguished Women Participants
The 2019 Power in Purple campaign benefitting the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, is off to an incredible start having recruited forty local Las Vegas Community Leading and distinguished ladies. These women will raise money in the mission to save live, celebrate lives, honor all survivors and raise money to lessen cancer’s impact in Southern Nevada (Pictured: Tyra Bell-Holland and Jennifer Walsh, volunteer Co-Chairs for the campaign and ACS board members).
Each Power in Purple woman has volunteered to wear purple whenever possible throughout the campaign, spread our message and raise at least $2,500. Menopause The Musical has created a specific link for show tickets with a portion of the price benefitting directly the cause. This year, the ACS has announced two Co-Chairs to coach, mentor and support the women throughout the campaign with the guidance of Shannon Moore, Community Development Manager of ACS. Says Shannon Moore, “With the support of Tyra Bell-Holland and Jennifer Walsh, volunteer Co-Chairs for the campaign and ACS board members, these women will certainly be provided with utmost in personalized marketing support to curate a personalized and meaningful campaign for each woman. We are excited for the possibilities with the Power in Purple Women of 2019.”
This year’s Relay for Life will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 10am to 10pm at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino. The individual campaigns for each woman will benefit the Relay for Life and a series of events/activation will be held to support the fundraising. The campaign runs now through April 30, 2019 and each woman with have an individual landing page for their campaign to support directly. At the wrap up party to celebrate all the women, awards will be announced in categories such as, Woman with The Most Spirit, Woman with The Highest Fundraising, Woman with The Most Creative Campaigning” and so forth.
