Another Successful Breast Cancer Awareness Month for NVCI
Recently Nevada Cancer Institute and Pink Jeep Tours provided a select group of current breast cancer patients and brave survivors with a special day full of fun, excitement and inspiration to celebrate the strength and beauty of cancer patients and survivors everywhere.

A complimentary tour of Red Rock Canyon was provided for these exceptional women in honor of another successful “Trek for the Cure” partnership this October; but also to help establish a new support group for the women. During their scenic look at the Canyon, the survivors were able to be mentors to the women currently going through chemotherapy.

“Just by me being here I might be able to just touch someone’s soul, to make them feel better and to know it’s ok; that what you have is not a death sentence,” said Antoinette Waiters, a breast cancer survivor.

The day tour took the patients, survivors and their family members on a scenic journey overlooking the impressive Wilson Cliffs, the colored Calico Hills, numerous geological features and beautiful desert wildflowers.

During the month of October, as part of Trek for the Cure, Pink Jeep Tours donated $5 from the sales of all Red Rock Canyon Tours to NVCI in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in celebration of Pink Jeep Tours’ 50th anniversary. This is the third year that Pink Jeeps and NVCI have partnered for Trek for the Cure.
