“Arctic Voices” Exhibit at Springs Preserve Explores Adaptation in the Arctic; New Exhibit Opens in Origen Museum February 20
Discover how we are all connected to the Arctic. Arctic Voices will take you on a journey to a fascinating and changing region. Explore the wildlife and the people that live there and how they’ve adapted to survive in this harsh environment.
Reveal the incredible extent of an iceberg hidden beneath the water’s surface
Visitors will:
- Pounce, hop, push and crawl their way through animal life in the arctic.
- Travel with scientists as they catch and tag arctic whales.
- Discover how Arctic plants have adapted to survive and thrive in the harsh Arctic environment.
Stand next to an authentic polar bear specimen and examine its unique features and adaptations
Arctic Voices is a co-production of the Canadian Museum of Nature and Science North. Exhibit on display daily in the Origen Museum February 20 – May 18, 2016. This exhibit is free for Springs Preserve members and included with paid general admission.
“Crawl beneath the ice” to investigate the Arctic Ocean’s food web, but be careful, there may be a polar bear waiting to greet you when you pop up through the sea ice!
WHEN: February 20 – March 11, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily; March 12 – May 18, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily

ADMISSION: This exhibit is free for members or with paid general admission.
The Springs Preserve is open daily 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) until Nov. 1st when we start observing fall/winter hours 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. General admission for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students, seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages five to 17, with kids four and under free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State Museum, open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission for non-resident adults is $18.95, $17.05 for seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages five to 17, with kids four and under free.
