Asylum and Hotel Fear return to The Meadows Mall this Halloween Season
This Halloween Season, the Meadows Mall transforms into the home of The Asylum and Hotel Fear haunted houses.
Celebrating 17 years of Fear, The Asylum and Hotel Fear are Nevada’s largest stand-alone haunted attractions. These are the ultimate purveyors of fear as they are also the longest and second longest continuously operating haunts in southern Nevada.
- The Fear begins October 2, and operating hours are 6:30 pm to 12:00am Friday- Saturdays and 6:30pm to 10:00pm Thursdays and Sundays.
- Dates are: Oct. 2-3, Oct. 8-11, Oct. 15-18, Oct. 22-25, and Oct. 28-31.
The Asylum and Hotel Fear have always given back to the community to many local charities. This year they are sponsoring a coat drive for the needy of Las Vegas, Kill The Chill. Donate a new or gently used winter coat and receive ½ off a single admission ticket to either the Asylum or Hotel Fear. Ticket is good any Sunday in October.
R&J Productions entered a very crowded Haunt market back in 1999. Slowly the haunts disappeared, leaving The Asylum and Hotel Fear one of the few survivors. Not only have they survived but the Asylum has become the standard to which all Las Vegas Haunts are compared.. The years of success are based on one simple principle, they provide real fear.
An original and unique storyline was created and the attractions were built around it. They not only set the trends in Las Vegas, but for the nation as well. Rich Strelak is the only local haunt owner that has been a featured writer for the industry magazine Hauntworld, and lecturer at the industry’s TransWorld’s Halloween Haunt and Attraction Show. Rich is also the only local haunter to teach at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions sharing his knowledge of the haunt business with the likes of Disney, Universal and Six Flags.
The Asylum and Hotel Fear have been recognized as a Top Haunt by Forbes magazine, USA Today, Top 13 Haunt by Hauntworld Magazine, Top 7 in the Nation by Shindigz to name a few.
The Asylum and Hotel Fear take up residence at the Meadows Mall, 4300 Meadows Lane, between Valley View and Decatur overlooking US 95. They start accepting “patients” 6:30pm to midnight Fridays & Saturdays and 6:30 to 10:00pm Thursdays & Sundays. Tickets are $15.00 for a single attraction, $25.00 for a Combo ticket to both haunts. VIP tickets are also available for those nights when the lines begin to form.
