Fluttering hearts and wagging tails make for a happier community. So, Max Pawn, 6040 W. Sahara Ave., will host a pre-Valentine’s Day event from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13, featuring a costume party, sales, treats and photos.

The event, co-sponsored by The Hydrant Club, is open to the public and four-legged family members. Treats for humans and dogs will be served.

Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, The Hydrant Club is an education and training facility for dogs and their people that also offers full-service dog day care, overnight boarding, a private retail store, concierge services and the only private indoor/outdoor dog park (with real grass) in Las Vegas.

A portion of proceeds from merchandise sales during the event will support Noah’s Animal House, which provides on-site boarding and support for the pets of the clients of The Shade Tree, a safe shelter for homeless and abused women and children in crisis. Noah’s Animal House will sell treat boxes for pups and offer items to win through a raffle.

During the pre-Valentine’s event, Max Pawn will highlight designer handbags, wallets, backpacks, jewelry, electronics and more in store.

Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs on a leash and enter the Valentine’s Day costume contest. The event will also feature kissing and photo booths. Meet and greet with celebrity dog, Bark Andre Furry, at Max Pawn as he supports Noah’s Animal House and The Hydrant Club.

“We are a dog-friendly business and we like to have events where our customers are receiving a great discount on their purchases while supporting a good cause,” Max Pawn principal, Michael Mack said. “We are introducing a new way of pawn shopping while supporting our community.”

Customers are invited to treat themselves — or their significant others — to a special Valentine’s Day gift from among Max Pawn’s extensive collection of luxury goods including jewelry, shoes and designer handbags.

“We know our customers love their pets like family,” Mack said. “And our customers are our family. So, this lets everyone share the love, whether they’re in a relationship or single.”
