Butterfly Habitat Opens for Fall 2015 Season; Springs Preserve Botanical Garden is all Aflutter Starting Sept. 5
The Springs Preserve Botanical Garden welcomes fall their seasonal Butterfly Habitat opening Saturday, September 5, weather permitting.
Hundreds of butterflies and an array of plants have returned to this seasonal exhibit! Wander through the unique Butterfly Habitat and witness the fascinating dance between free-flying butterflies and the plants that sustain them. You’ll emerge with a better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular animals.

Located in the southern end of the Botanical Garden, the seasonal habitat will be open daily 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. through mid-November, as temperature allows. The habitat features a variety of butterfly species including Mourning Cloak, Red Admiral, Painted Lady, American Lady, Monarch and Queen.
WHEN: Open to the Public starting – Saturday, September 5, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.
WHERE: Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. The Butterfly Habitat is located in the Botanical Garden.
ADMISSION: The Butterfly Habitat will have a separate entrance fee of $3 for non-members and $2 for members. All guests age two and up require a ticket.
The Springs Preserve Botanical Garden is one of the largest institutions of its kind, featuring an 8-acre display garden and more than 100 acres of restored landscape, manicured planting and recreated wetlands. The North American Plant Collection Consortium has recognized the Botanical Garden as having the most comprehensive Mojave Cactus and Succulent Collection at any public garden.
