Calvary Chapel Spring Valley to Hold 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Outreach for Homeless Nov. 25You are invited to a Thanksgiving Celebration. Calvary Chapel Spring Valley is holding it’s 3rd annual Thanksgiving Outreach for the homeless community and for those who are in need.

They will be serving a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, providing backpacks filled with essential items, an opportunity to call loved ones and other services such as haircuts, showers, clothing, legal services, medical/first aid, dental services and more. For those with children, various kid’s activities will also be available.

On Thanksgiving Day, Calvary Chapel Spring Valley will open its doors to the homeless and to those in need in Southern Nevada. They will provide a warm Thanksgiving meal, shower, clothing, blankets, haircuts, medical and dental services and much more. The goal is to minister to 1,500 homeless men, women and children.

When: Thursday, November 25, 2010

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Pickup: 7:30 am – Noon

  • Pick up in front of Salvation Army at 31 W. Owens
  • Shade Tree on the corner of Main Street and Owens
  • Baker Park on St. Louis, west of Maryland Pkwy

Professional Service Volunteers

  • Chefs / cooks to assist with food prep / cooking
  • Computer experts to assist guests with internet searches to locate family
  • Dental Assistants, Dentists and certified dental personnel to perform general dental assessments
  • Lawyers / Paralegals to provide legal assistance and information
  • Medical Assistants, Doctors and certified medical professionals to provide general physical health assessments
  • Optometrists to assist with glasses / Professional Stylists to provide haircuts
  • Social Workers to assist with social service information
