Camp Foxtail Registration Now Open for Girl Scout Summer Camp Sessions June 19-August 14

What will you do this summer? Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada is now accepting camper registrations for its 2011 resident summer camp sessions June 19 to August 14. Download the camp book and register on-line at www.girlscoutsnv.org. Register by June 1, 2011, and save $25.

Camp Foxtail (est 1949), located in the Toiyabe National Forest, provides Girl Scouts age 8-17 with traditional resident camp experiences. Programs encourage leadership through activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing, high and low adventure courses, singing, arts and crafts, campfires and much more.

Session prices range from $300 to $350 and girls must be a registered member of Girl Scouts to attend Camp Foxtail. Membership is $12 annually and can be purchased at the same time as camp sessions.

“Summer camp has been a tradition in the U.S. for more than 150 years. Girls spending time at Camp Foxtail this summer will find themselves on an adventure with fresh new challenges and pushing themselves to achieve them,” said Kelle Boteilho, Chief Operating Officer. “Girls will walk away with new friends and memories to last a lifetime.”
