Celebration, Cheers and Charity at the 5th Anniversary of Mondays Dark in Las Vegas

Mondays Dark begins at 8 p.m. with doors at 7 p.m. $20 and $40 reserved tickets are available now online at www.MondaysDark.com. Tickets are extremely limited, so get them before they’re gone.

Guests can enjoy a stellar night of entertainment from Vegas’ top entertainers and bid on luxurious live & silent auction items including art, show and concert tickets, dining packages, spa treatments, jewelry, and more.

The 2018 charity partners included White Horse Youth Ranch, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Miracle Flights, Baby’s Bounty, Tyler Robinson Foundation, HELP of Southern Nevada, New Vista, Positively Arts Foundation, Speedway Children’s Charities, Forgotten Not Gone, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Sin Sity Sisters, Leaders in Training (LIT), Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada, Alzheimer’s Association, Officer Down, Adam’s Place, Yellow Pants Project, Children’s Heart Foundation, and Las Vegas Firefighter Youth Hockey.

The lineup of entertainers for the event will be announced soon. Mondays Dark will announce the 2019 charity lineup at the anniversary event, with another 21 local charities in store, that’s 42 local organizations under one roof. 2019 will is be a monumental year for Mondays Dark, as the event surpass the $1 million raised for Las Vegas non-profits.

Founder Mark Shunock, will once again host the Mondays Dark celebration he began back in 2013 while starring in the hit Broadway musical, “Rock of Ages.”  During his time here, Shunock wanted to give back to Vegas and support local charities in the area.  Enlisting some of his entertainer friends, Mondays Dark was born.  Five years in, Mondays Dark has been named “Best of the City” from Vegas Seven in 2014 and “Best of Vegas” from Las Vegas Weekly the following year.  In addition, Shunock received the 2014 Angel Award for Cultural Advocate/Entertainer of the Year and recently won Best Philanthropist from “Best of Las Vegas” and theLas Vegas Review Journal and the Impact Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Las Vegas Chapter for Mondays Dark.

Shunock opened The Space, a community-driven arts complex that is the haven of all arts and artists in Las Vegas and is the permanent home to Mondays Dark. During its first two years, The Space has hosted a variety of locally-produced plays and musicals, 21 Mondays Dark events, theater workshops, community gatherings, private parties, concerts by top entertainers, burlesque, comedy showcases and so much more. A few familiar faces seen onstage thus far include Vegas headliner Penn Jillette, award-winning performer John Lloyd Young, Tony-Award winner Alice Ripley, and FX comedy series “Baskets” star and comedian Louie Anderson.

Currently, Mark Shunock can be seen as the MC in “Magic Mike Live” and the in-arena host for the Vegas Golden Knights.
