Chef James Trees Opens Esther’s Kitchen in Las Vegas’ Arts District
Chef/owner James Trees has announced January 3, 2018 as the opening date for Esther’s Kitchen. Located at 1130 South Casino Center Blvd. in the Las Vegas Arts District, the restaurant will serve seasonal Italian cooking, emphasizing local and regional ingredients prepared from scratch in house, including daily pastas and breads, butchering, and the restaurant’s own herb garden.

The full menu will offer fresh pastas, pizzas to order, antipasti and mains, with a strong section of plant-based dishes.

Designed with equal care, the beverage program will feature hand crafted original and classic cocktails at $8, beers at $5 and imported and domestic wines by the glass at $9-10 (with no bottle on the regular list above $40) to encourage tasting. At happy hour, nothing is above $5.

“I’ve been blessed to have some incredible experiences in the restaurant industry,” said Chef Trees, “But I couldn’t think of a loftier goal than opening the best neighborhood restaurant I could in my own hometown, with a great team.”

Led by Trees, the opening team will include Lead Market Bar Specialist Sonia Stelea, General Manager Craig Andreski and Sous Chef Ryan DiMaria.

Esther’s Kitchen will serve dinner from 5-11 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday (closed Mondays), with a happy hour at the bar 4-6 p.m. Weekday lunch and weekend brunch hours will be announced soon. The restaurant will also be available for private events, with an indoor seating capacity of 50+ persons; Additional front and rear outdoor seating will also open by the Spring.
