“CineVegas Under The Stars” at The Springs Preserve to Conclude With “Patriotville” July 11

The “CineVegas Under the Stars” summer outdoor screening series at the Springs Preserve will conclude on Saturday, July 11 with PATRIOTVILLE, a favorite from the 2009 CineVegas Film Festival. The screening will be held at 8:30pm in the outdoor amphitheater.

“We are thrilled to bring the hilarious comedy PATRIOTVILLE back to Las Vegas as part of CineVegas Under the Stars,” said CineVegas Managing Director Anita Nelving. “Whether you missed the film at this year’s Festival or just want to see it again, the Springs Preserve provides a beautiful and unique setting for outdoor movie watching.”

Talmage Cooley’s PATRIOTVILLE, a Jackpot Premiere at the 2009 CineVegas Film Festival, features a star-studded cast, including Justin Long, Rob Corddry and Emmanuelle Chriqui. When he discovers that a Native American casino is about to be built over the town’s historic battlefield, Chase Revere (Long), the self-appointed protector of a small town’s rather meager place in American history, decides to launch an all-out offensive against the project. Along the way, he earns the wrath of the entire town – whose well-meaning but short-sighted citizens believe that the casino will save their decaying local community – as well as gets an education about hope, heartbreak and how American history is really written.

Entry into PATRIOTVILLE is included with regular paid admission to the Springs Preserve before 6pm. After 6pm, tickets to the screening are $5 each and can be purchased at www.cinevegas.com/underthestars.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but concessions can be purchased at the Springs Preserve Café by Wolfgang Puck until 7pm, as well as in the amphitheater. Filmgoers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and low chairs at the screening.
