Cirque du Soleil Hosts 15th Annual “Run Away with Cirque du Soleil” Community 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk at Springs Preserve, March 12
On Saturday, March 12, Cirque du Soleil will take over the Las Vegas Springs Preserve for its 15th annual “Run Away with Cirque du Soleil” 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk.
The special event will feature return appearances by Mayor Carolyn Goodman, who kicks off the race each year to show her continued support for the Las Vegas community, and Nevada Public Radio’s president and general manager Flo Rogers, beloved emcee of the day’s activities. Pre-registration opens Friday, Jan. 8 at Active.com.
Participants will spend a fun-filled day listening to live music, hanging out with family and friends, taking photos with their favorite Cirque du Soleil artists and enjoying complimentary refreshments provided by Whole Foods and Starbucks—all while giving back to the community. A circus-themed play area will also be available for families with children.
On-site registration will open at 7 a.m. followed by pre-race activities and warm-ups beginning at 8 a.m. The race will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. followed by live music and a special awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Registration fees are $37 for the 5K Run and $27 for the 1-Mile Fun Walk with prices increasing by $3 after March 1.
