Dine for a Cause During Spring Las Vegas Restaurant Week at Poppy Den Asian Bistro By Chef Angelo Sosa

Poppy Den Asian Bistro by Chef Angelo Sosa, located at the heart of Tivoli Village, will offer a special prix fixe menu priced at $40.14 per person to benefit Three Square Food Bank during the third annual Spring Las Vegas Restaurant Week from Friday, March 7 through Friday, March 14 (Pictured: Poppy Den Peking Duck – Photo credit: Omar Gomez). 

Guests will begin with Chef Sosa’s three-course menu with the choice of: watermelon and goat cheese salad, made with yuzu, candied wasabi and sesame seeds; crispy calamari prepared with scallions, ginger and Thai chili; a succulent braised pork belly served on a steam bao bun with pickled shallots and cilantro; or sashimi tuna spring rolls made with of beet kimchi and scallions.

The main entrée will feature a choice between: the Poppy Burger, served with kimchi pickles and Poppy fries; the Peking duck marinated for three days in ginger, salt, cinnamon, scallions, coriander and star anise and served with scallion pancakes; tofu curry made with coconut flakes, cilantro and quinoa; or fish cha ca la vong prepared with cilantro and onion jam. Diners will enjoy the dessert option of miso coconut tiramisu or sorbet.

Poppy Den will be donating $5 per meal directly to Three Square.

Chef Angelo Sosa’s Poppy Den Asian Bistro offers his own signature blend of traditional fare with modern influences inspired by his travels throughout Asia. Sosa relocated to Las Vegas and can often be seen at the restaurant, whether he’s in the kitchen or our meeting the guests. The hand-crafted cocktails and sake, along with wine and draft beers, complement the expertly crafted fare. The restaurant is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a happy hour available daily from 4 to 7 p.m. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. The Den, Poppy Den’s hip second-story ultra-lounge, is open from 7 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
