Dirt Dog Brings “The Official Hot Dog of Los Angeles” to The Las Vegas Strip
Dirt Dog the LA-based, over-the-top hot doggery now operates two locations in Las Vegas, with a recent opening on the world-famous Strip at the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s. The menu, inspired by Los Angeles street food, features creative, one-of-a-kind dogs, elote, fried desserts and more (Pictured: Patty Melt Dog).
Proclaimed “the official hot dog of Los Angeles,” the stars of the menu are the bacon wrapped 100 percent beef dogs boasting a multitude of toppings.
The Dirt On Dirt Dog
A homage to Dirt Dog CEO Timothy Cam’s childhood, the restaurant name has a worthwhile backstory. In the early ‘90’s Timothy found himself on streets of downtown Los Angeles most weekends during the summer. At the time, the downtown area had a limited selection of dining options. Stomach rumbling, Timothy ran into a nice lady selling bacon-wrapped hot dogs topped with grilled onions, bell peppers, red peppers and jalapenos, along with mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup. Though they looked delectable, his mother advised against eating the hot dogs due to the heavy traffic on the dirt road adjacent to the cart, constantly kicking up dust. But, temptation set in, and from there he was hooked. He later in life coined the name Dirt Dog and now shares the eateries street food creations with the masses.

Dirt Dog serves up next-level street food that gives Angelenos a taste of home and newcomers an aunthentic taste of the city of angels. The Dirt Dog menu options include franks such as the House Dog with bacon thousand island and green chile spread, the Patty Melt Dog topped with melted cheddar fries and chipotle aioli spread and the Elote Dog with elote, Mexican crema, cojita cheese chili powder, cilantro and bacon bits.
Guests can accompany their dog with dirty side options such as the Filthy Fries topped with guacamole, chipotle aioli, cheddar and cojita cheese, Dirty Esquite served in a cup, consists of corn, cotija cheese, cilantro and chili powder, or Street Tacos, served up in al pastor, chicken tinga and carne asada variations.
Be sure to save some room for dessert. Dirt Dog serves up sweets such as Horchata Ice Cream with house made horchata syrup, rice crispies and almonds and Deep-Fried Oreos served with horchata whipped cream and house made sprinkles. Beverage offerings include real cane sugar sodas, local craft beers and fresh cut coconut.
