DJ Hollywood’s Pizza & Gyros Brings Family Recipes to New Restaurant
Say “ciao” and “yassou” to a new local restaurant serving up Greek and Italian style dishes. The Vlastaris family-owned eatery, DJ Hollywood’s Pizza and Gyros, combines these two global cuisines with authentic East Coast pizza, tasty Greek delicacies, and delicious desserts opening on Thursday, March 31.
DJ Hollywood’s Pizza and Gyros will make its debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location at 3650 S. Decatur Blvd. In attendance for the ceremony will be Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and his wife, mayoral candidate Carolyn Goodman, as well as other government officials and dignitaries.
Diners will have plenty to choose from the distinctive menu that will include traditional Greek fare and Italian favorites made from personal Vlastaris family recipes. Italian classics such as homemade and hand-tossed pizza, stromboli and calzones are offered with fresh-cut Greek gyros, falafel pitas and sweet baklava. The two cuisines also combine mouth-watering dishes such as “My Big Fat Greek” pizza made with lamb and beef gyro, feta cheese, onions, and tomato or “Pasticcio” which showcases delicious Greek take on lasagna.
Behind the worldly concept is an innovative father-son team, Lee Vlastaris Sr and Jr. While this is the first family venture for the two, it will not be the first for Lee Vlastaris Sr, as he has owned and operated several successful pizzerias in Las Vegas over the past two decades. Adding traditional Greek dishes to the menu gives DJ Hollywood’s Pizza & Gyros all the right ingredients to serve up the newest and most exciting restaurant franchise in Las Vegas.
The restaurant’s namesake stems from Vlastaris Jr’s alternate persona – Lee Vlastaris Jr. by day and DJ Hollywood by night. For the past 15 years, DJ Hollywood has been one of the most well-known and respected nightclub and entertainment figures in Las Vegas.
