Donate Blood July 2-3 at JW Marriott Las Vegas: Donor “Heroes” Receive Free Buffet and Chance to Win Prizes

Summer provides a great opportunity to get together with family, celebrate holidays and connect with friends. Sadly, the season also signals a time when many forget to donate blood, resulting in a dramatic drop in donations.

That’s why the Rampart Casino and JW Marriott Las Vegas are teaming up to offer a blood drive on Saturday and Sunday, July 2nd and 3rd. It will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

Twenty-two hospitals and clinics in Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona rely on United Blood Services (UBS) to provide them with a dependable supply of blood in normal circumstances as well as in emergencies when the need is immediate. Donors are encouraged to log onto www.unitedbloodservices.org and then enter sponsor code: Rampart to make an appointment. Donors can also call United Blood Services directly at 702-638-7400.

Each blood donor will receive a voucher for a free meal at the Rampart Buffet and will be eligible to win prizes courtesy of the JW Marriott. Prizes include a one (1) night stay at the JW Marriott including breakfast, valued at $200. Dinner for two at JC Wooloughhan’s Irish Pub valued at $75 or Dinner for two at Ceres Restaurant, valued at $150.

Cannery Casino Resorts, LLC properties including The Cannery Casino, The Rampart Casino and Eastside Cannery Casino were ranked first, second and third, respectively, for collecting the most lifesaving blood donations in 2010 among all gaming companies in the Las Vegas area. Combined, their blood drives donated 2226 units of blood.
