July 6, 12, 20 & 27 – Marché Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Shop at Lakeside Event Center will host a Summer Wine Dinner Series, featuring four wineries in July. Each event is priced at $99 and starts at 6:30 p.m. with a reception, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The schedule is as follows: July 6 (Chalone Vineyard), 12 (Honig Vineyard), 20 (K Vintners) & 27 (Chappellet). July 14 – Now in its 12th year of Bastille Day celebrations, Marché Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Shop at Lakeside Event Center will recognize the day in a big way, complete with a four-person skydiving team executing a water landing in the Desert Shores lake next to the restaurant, live entertainment, Champagne sabering, a balloon release and a special menu. The regular Sunday brunch will be served from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with Bastille Day specialty cocktails. Dinner, starting at 4:30 p.m., will feature traditional French items on the regular menu such as steak frites, beef tartare and escargots; and additional specials including salmon rillettes, charbroiled oysters, duck confit crêpes, loup de mer and eggplant au poivre.
