The public is invited to attend The Las Vegas International Carnaval-Mardi Gras and Parade on Saturday, May 28, 2016 on Eastside Fremont St and 9th Avenue in Las Vegas.

The event begins at 2pm with with food vendors, musical groups and artists. At 6pm the Parade begins with the Honor Guard and The USA and Bolivia National Anthems. Next will be politicians and some consul from different countries, followed by dancers from Bolivia, Guatemala, Colombia, Nicaragua and El Salvador plus groups from USA, Mexico, Brasil, Panama, Puerto Rico, Peru and from the states of California, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Utah, Texas and cities of Miami, San Francisco and San Diego.

The event will end at 12 Midnight.

The Las Vegas International Carnaval-Mardi Gras and Parade was started in 2007 by Freddy Chavez, President of Residentes Bolivianos de Las Vegas and Las Vegas Carnaval International-Mardi Gras.

Chavez’ vision was to develop the annual event from a small fledgling celebration, welcoming more countries to participate each year. Chavez said, “It is also our dream to see this Carnaval-Mardi Gras become one of the best ten Carnaval-Mardi Gras in the world and we hope it will become a large annual celebration in Las Vegas.”
