Fashion Show for Fashionistas Everywhere to hit Las Vegas Nov. 13-15
Featuring this fall and winter’s fashions, Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas, a new show concept and vision for the fashion industry, will take place Friday through Sunday, Nov. 13 – 15, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Convention Center

The brainchild of local Nevada business owner, Debbie Landry, “Prêt–à–Porter” (pronounced preta-por-tay) is a French phrase meaning, “ready to wear.” Landry, who serves as president and CEO of Redhead Enterprises and has a history in fashion, plans to host the event twice a year – once to highlight fall/winter fashions and once to show spring/summer clothing.

While ready-to-wear fashion shows are nothing new, Landry’s show brings a new concept to the industry. Targeting the fashionista in everyone, the show will feature current fashions (rather than future fashions) that are available for purchase from local retailers and manufacturers at the time of the show.

“This is a fashion show by the modern woman for the modern woman,” Landry said. “People from all stations of life – not just celebrities or the rich and wealthy – want to look fashionable. As fun as it is to see all of the amazing concepts walked at New York Fashion Week or Paris Fashion Week, most of us will never have access to those shows. Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas will feature fashions we can actually buy and wear now at local retail and design stores.”

Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas will show fashions available for the modern woman this fall and winter, including where those fashions can be purchased at retail stores. In addition to runway events, Prêt–à–Porter will include a retail vendor fair and more.

Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas’ designated charity is Veteran’s Village, which will receive a portion of the ticket sales. Operated 24/seven by SHARE, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, Veteran’s Village is a transitional and permanent housing residence for U.S. veterans. The organization also helps female veterans integrate back into society and the workplace, including helping them with their wardrobes.

“High-end fashion shows are generally attended by celebrities, the rich and wealthy, and retail buyers only,” Landry said. “Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas opens up the excitement of a local fashion runway show event to a different audience: regular men and women, retailers, hair salons and makeup companies and more.”

Sponsorships and vendor booths for Prêt–à–Porter are available. To become a sponsor or vendor, call Redhead Enterprises at 702-966-8029 or email them at marketing@rhenevada.com.

Cost to attend the event in general seating is $55 for a half day or $100 per day. Cost for VIP is $500 for all three days. Friday will serve as a red carpet VIP event at which political dignitaries, local celebrities, designers, retailers, sponsors, vendors, Veterans Village and others are expected to attend from 7 to 9 p.m. to kick off the festivities.

Saturday and Sunday will include two full days of fashion shows, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. Friday’s events will be held in the Rio’s Miranda Ballroom, and Saturday and Sunday’s events will be held in the Basilla Ballroom. The days will be divided into two segments, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., with several runway shows taking place during each segment.
