Fifth Annual “Style with a Cause” Empowers and Inspires Women While Raising Funds to Benefit Communities in Schools of Nevada

The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception featuring tasty bites provided by Andiron, cocktails by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, beauty bars by Sephora, a braid bar by Kelly Cardenas Salon, and decorated vignettes by West Elm and Ethan Allen.

Guests were also able to experience tarot card readings or spiritual cleanses from local energy healers and psychics, as well as pose for pictures in an empowerment mirror filled with positive affirmations.

As guests filed into the restaurant, host Denise Valdez from the local CBS affiliate KLAS-TV welcomed everyone as they took their seats for a fashion show showcasing the latest trends presented by Dillard’s.

Attendees also followed the journey of this year’s beauty transformation recipient, Karen Belote-Stevens from CIS of Nevada, as footage was shown of her makeover. Her final look was then unveiled as she walked down the LED-lit runway revealing a new hairstyle by Kelly Cardenas Salon, wardrobe by Dillard’s, and makeup by Sephora.

To continue the empowerment of the evening, three local unsung “sheroes” from CIS of Nevada were then surprised as they were honored for their outstanding commitment to bettering the community.

“I started “Style with a Cause” as an event to empower and inspire women through fashion and beauty,” said Founder Jenna Doughton. “With the support of the local community, this event has grown every single year. It’s my goal to eventually make Style with a Cause a national event to inspire women everywhere.”
Style with a Cause is a movement designed to empower and inspire women through fashion and beauty. Through an interactive cocktail reception style event, Style with a Cause provides a bevy of entertainment for fashionistas at all levels, whether aspiring or inspiring, to come together and celebrate one common denominator every woman shares — that they are unique and beautiful at every turn of their journey. It is a night full of fashion trends, beauty tips, fashion shows, beauty transformations, honoring amazing women and offering once-in-a-lifetime shopping experiences and items to help raise funds to give back to the organization’s chosen beneficiary.
