Freed’s Bakery to Ring in the New Year with Limited Edition Spiked Desserts
Ring in 2020 sweetly! Freed’s Bakery, the popular family-owned establishment of 60 years will offer festive sweets to celebrate the New Year including spiked pipette mini cups and themed cupcakes available for purchase through Tuesday, Dec. 31.
New to the menu, Freed’s spiked pipette mini cup flavors include ‘Milk and Cookies,’ prepared with ganache, chocolate chip cookies and Disaronno panna cotta; ‘Mudslide,’ prepared with ganache, chocolate crunch and Kahlua coffee panna cotta and Baileys panna cotta; ‘Bourbon Caramel,’ prepared with salted caramel and Bourbon-caramel panna cotta; and ‘Choc-Chambord,’ prepared with a Chambord chocolate mousse and ganache.
Freed’s will also offer champagne-infused desserts including bubbly-inspired cake and cupcakes, frosted with a pink champagne mousse, topped with edible dragèes. Other festive sweets will include mini pastries and chocolate covered strawberries. Freed’s holiday treats will be available at Freed’s Bakery located at 9815 S Eastern Ave., and both Freed’s Dessert Shops, located at 6475 N Decatur Blvd. and 10870 W. Charleston Ave., suite #110.
