Freed’s Dessert Shop Summerlin Hosts Grand Opening Celebration
Freed’s Bakery, popular Las Vegas bakery of 60 years, celebrated the grand opening of its new Freed’s Dessert Shop location in Summerlin yesterday (Pictured: Sarah Fried Fusco passing out cupcakes).

Third-generation Freed’s owner, Max Jacobson-Fried, and second-generation Freed’s owner, Joan Fried, kicked off the celebration with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and were presented with a certificate of recognition by a representative from Councilwomen Victoria Seaman’s office. The group posed for photos and handed out complimentary cupcakes to hundreds of excited guests. Freed’s fans explored the “sweet” new space, won prizes and took photos on the dessert shop’s decorative wall with the “Freed’s Bakery” logo.

Freed’s Dessert Shop is located at 10870 W. Charleston #110 and is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays.
