will be distributed to local Girl Scout families at 7 drop sites, including the two largest: Cowabunga Bay at 900 Galleria Dr. and Berger Allied Moving and Storage at 600 East Cheyenne Ave. The event will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 9:00 a.m. – Noon. Cowabunga Bay will also host a special “Scout Days” for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts on June 20-21.

The 667,000 boxes of cookies will be distributed to local Girl Scout families on Saturday at seven drop sites across Southern Nevada during the annual cookie “mega drop”. Cowabunga Bay will be the largest drop site distributing over 103,000 boxes of cookies in less than 3 hours helping to prepare Girl Scouts and Troop Leaders for the start of cookie booths on February 14.

Traditional Girl Scout cookie booths begin on Friday, February 14 and end on Sunday, March 1.

2,500 Southern Nevada Girl Scouts are anticipated to sell over 885,000 boxes of cookies in 2020. All proceeds raised during cookie season stays in Southern Nevada and helps Girl Scouts attend camp, fund trips, and complete service projects. The ultimate goal of cookie season is to help fund troop activities and to teach Girl Scouts about the importance of financial literacy.

Founded on April 14, 1932 in Boulder City, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada (GSSNV) is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. GSSNV focuses on four key pillars: STEAM Education, Outdoor Experiences, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship Opportunities.
