Golden Rainbow Now Accepting Talent Submissions for 25th Annual “Ribbon Of Life” Show
Golden Rainbow, a local HIV/AIDS nonprofit, is accepting admissions for the 25th annual Ribbon of Life fundraising spectacular now through Friday, April 8. Submissions will be accepted through hand delivery, mail and e-mail.
All singers, dancers, performers, artists and choreographers are invited to showcase their best original numbers for a chance to participate in one of the greatest shows of the year. The “Ribbon of Life” fundraising production will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 at Paris Théâtre.
The casting call requires original production numbers that have not been previously performed in Las Vegas. All selected performances will be showcased during the 25th annual “Ribbon of Life” spectacular. Submissions may include solo, duet, small cast (fewer than 10 performers) and large cast or montage acts. All entries must be delivered to the Golden Rainbow office via hand delivery, mail or e-mail during business hours by Friday, April 8. Drawing thousands of supporters every year, “Ribbon of Life” is Golden Rainbow’s main source of revenue. The fundraising spectacular is an original production unlike any other in Las Vegas, featuring custom production numbers from the best singers, dancers and performers from premiere shows on the Las Vegas Strip. Showcasing new acts and talent, each year the audience is always surprised, thrilled and inspired by performances that are exclusive to ”Ribbon of Life.”
“Ribbon of Life” was presented for the first time by members of the entertainment industry who saw a need for a support system when one of their colleagues faced HIV/AIDS. To raise awareness and money to fight the disease, the entertainers organized a show, which became the annual “Ribbon of Life Spectacular.” The show, then called “Golden Rainbow,” led to the creation of the nonprofit organization. “Ribbon of Life” is now one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada.
Tickets for the 25th annual “Ribbon of Life” fundraiser are priced at $35, $50, $100 and $200 and will be available for purchase in the coming weeks. All proceeds benefit Golden Rainbow’s mission to provide housing and direct financial assistance to Southern Nevadans living with HIV/AIDS and to support prevention education.
