Hot 97.5 KVEG Features “Black History Month” Program Highlighting Key African-Americans

A Hot 97.5 KVEG will shine a spotlight on significant African-Americans in United States History as part of its Black History Month program.

Hot 97.5 KVEG will air a series of vignettes which will feature an opening by Las Vegas performer and funny-man, George Wallace, that will highlight key figures who have contributed to, and helped to shape, the United States we know today. Key figures represented include historical, as well as modern-day, contributors to American society and include such diverse contributors as writers and orators Frederick Douglass and Maya Angelou, political figures including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President Barack Obama, and sports and entertainment icons Muhammad Ali and Russell Simmons.

The vignettes will air Tuesday, Feb. 1 through Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 in honor of the national Black History Month designation.
