How to Plan a Romantic Date in Vegas

If there’s one leisure destination in the USA requiring little or no introduction, it’s Las Vegas. Situated in the middle of the scorching Mojave Desert and famed for its gaudy lights, all-night entertainment, and gambling dens, this is one location for any weekend break sure to linger in your memory.

So if you love to meet people online on a site like this and you’re then planning an excursion to ‘Sin City,’ how would you plan the perfect romantic date?

Afternoon chillout

There is so much to see and do in Vegas, you don’t want to jump straight in at the deep end. Remember, the city is carved out of a desert landscape in the middle of Nevada, so the afternoon sunshine can be quite unforgiving. Rather than doing anything overly energetic, spend a sedate afternoon exploring local cafes and shopping malls. Take a stroll around Sunset Park, doing a circuit of the pond where waterfowl drift on the cooling waters. You don’t want to peak too soon with any alcoholic beverages, so treat your partner to freshly-prepared coffees. Sunrise Coffee offers a selection of tasty coffees fashioned from their own range of beans.

On to some refreshments

Step your entertainment up a notch by popping to the oldest bar in the city, Atomic Liquors, dating from 1921. As well as a fine selection of tasty brews and thirst-quenching cocktails, there’s also a separate full-service diner, offering a wonderful menu. A vintage jukebox pumps out classic sounds of the 1950s and 1960s, reminiscent of those iconic Rat Pack movies.

The dining area is open, actually reclaimed from an auto shop! But the relaxed atmosphere, with knowledgable waiters and bar staff serving you beneath the Nevada sun is perfect.

Refreshments with a view

Later on, after your meal has gone down, why not head over to Mandarin Oriental on Las Vegas Strip? Here you can get the lift to the 23rd floor and enjoy a classic English afternoon tea service, taking in the fantastic views as the city lights spark into life. If you want a refreshment with more of a kick, the Mandarin Bar serves a mouth-watering array of cocktails.

Soak up the sights

While Vegas is famous for its bustling skyline and non-stop entertainment, it’s worthwhile taking time out to take in some of the scenic delights elsewhere. Just outside the city, there are numerous places to explore, and amongst the most spectacular are the natural hot springs in the Mojave Desert. With over 300 of these to choose from, there are many sites worth a visit. Some of these cascade all the way into the mighty Colorado River, making for some jaw-dropping landscapes to photograph. The good news is all these natural wonders are just over an hour away from Las Vegas by car, giving you ample time to return and finish your date.

Dine in Paris

When the time comes for your evening meal, a truly memorable experience is to visit the Eifel Tower restaurant. A degree shorter than its Parisian namesake, this edifice is one of the city’s most well-known landmarks. The view is certainly spectacular, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering commanding vistas of the teeming metropolis far below. You’ll also receive an unforgettable view of the Bellagio fountains.

Nightswim

Las Vegas is synonymous clubbing throughout the night but what better way to make the most of the electric party atmosphere than partying and swimming? Nightswim is an ever-popular venue for visitors, a truly unique venue where you can splash around in the water while enjoying the sounds created by big-name DJs such as the Chainsmokers. The best aspect of all when it comes to dating, you are surrounded by people wearing swimming costumes.
