INSERT Coin(s) to host ‘Artists for a Cause’ Raising Funds and Awareness for Two Nonprofit Organizations Nov. 14
Downtown hotspot INSERT Coin(s), along with the First Friday Foundation, will be hosting the “Artists for a Cause” event Nov. 14 to benefit The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation and Heaven Can Wait Animal Society.
Constructed around video game inspired art, the fundraiser will feature an intimate silent auction, as well as cocktails and the top- notch music for which INSERT Coin(s) is widely known.
“Artists for a Cause” is set to be held on Wednesday, November 14 beginning with a cocktail reception and silent auction from 8 pm to 10 pm, and an after party to immediately follow. The event will showcase artwork by renowned artists, including mural master Juan Muniz; entrepreneurial tattoo artist King Ruck; graphic design genius Obeyjef, the brilliant illustrator Brian DeLeon, and the multi-talented Bree DeLano (aka DJ88). The artwork will be displayed throughout the night and available for purchase, with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting the two chosen charities.
World-class DJ Lefto of Belgium, famed for his eclectic music style and sets, will convey his passion for music and display effortless transition from genre to genre along with a set by resident INSERT Coin(s) DJ and featured artist DJ88.
“Since opening, we’ve been known as a top Downtown Las Vegas nightlife destination,” states owner of INSERT Coin(s) Christopher LaPorte. “But what we’d like to also convey is our commitment to our community, so this event affords us the opportunity not only raise awareness and money for two incredible charities but also feature some amazing local artists.”
Entry to the event is free, and “Artists for a Cause” will display a silent auction with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, and the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. Event guests can bid on the featured auction items, including merchandise and packages from some of Las Vegas’ most prestigious restaurants, shows, hotels and attractions.
