InsertCoin(s) Videolounge Gamebar and First Friday Team Up for “Burn Vegas Burn” Fundraiser

InsertCoin(s) Videolounge Gamebar and the First Friday Las Vegas arts and culture festival are proud to announce the first-ever Burn Vegas Burn fundraising event in Downtown Las Vegas on Thursday, Feb. 23rd from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.

This March, First Friday will bring a sample of the energy from the Burning Man festival to the Las Vegas streets with the city’s first-ever public burn event called Burn Vegas Burn. The creation, a 20-foot tall wooden showgirl sculpture named “Lucky Lady Lucy” will ceremoniously be burned during the March First Friday festival.

In an effort to generate funds to complete the construction on “Lucky Lady Lucy,” First Friday has teamed up with InsertCoin(s) for a 1980s-themed costume party and fundraiser. This is a chance for the community to come together and support what is sure to be an annual tradition.

“If it wasn’t for the Burning Man festival, First Friday’s recent expansion and success would not have happened. The sense of community that takes place during Burning Man is truly remarkable and we hope to bring that feeling to Las Vegas with our first public burn,” said First Friday Las Vegas Managing Partner Joey Vanas.

Admission into the InsertCoin(s) event is $5 for guests wearing 1980s-style clothing and $10 for guests who wish to stay dressed in 2012, with proceeds going to pay for the construction costs of the “Lucky Lady Lucy” sculpture to be burned. Guests will receive a raffle ticket with prizes including the highly sought-after, newly-released PlayStation Vita System and a First Friday package for the March 2 event which, will include two exclusive front-row seats for the burning of “Lucky Lady Lucy,” a two-night stay at the El Cortez Hotel and tickets to the post-burn after party taking place in the Plaza Hotel Theatre (First Friday package value of $500). Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each and donations can also be made at www.indiegogo.com/LuckyLadyLucy.
