It’s No Joke: Neon Museum Hosts Public Improv/Sketch Comedy Event April 1
The Neon Museum announces its third-annual Spring Performing Artist in Residence program, featuring Cardio Spider. The Las Vegas-based sketch and improv team will present “What’s Your Sign?”—an interactive improv comedy experience open to the public in the museum’s North Gallery from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 (Pictured: Cardio Spider).
This public program at the Neon Museum will be followed by an exhibit component, which will be on view at the Marjorie Barrick Museum at UNLV from April 3 155. The program is free, but advance registration is required online at neonmuseum.org.
A partnership between the Neon Museum and the Barrick Museum, the Spring Performing Artist in Residence program calls for performing artists to create work designed to be enjoyed by the public.
At the April 1 public program, Cardio Spider will perform their signature improvisational sketch comedy and engage visitors with improvisational games. Inspired by the rich palette of the North Gallery, Cardio Spider’s one-hour, all-ages show will allow guests to experience the Neon Museum as it “comes to life” through improvised songs, scenes and general hilarity. Shade and water will be provided for attendees.
