Jefferson Starship to Perform Free Show at Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience celebrates Labor Day Weekend and the last concert of “Summer of the ‘70s” with American rock legends Jefferson Starship. This free show will be one of Jefferson Starship’s last stops in the United States on their 40th anniversary tour. Playing classic hits like “Miracles,” “Sara” and “Somebody to Love,” Jefferson Starship will grace Fremont’s 1st Street Stage at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 4.

The group includes original members Paul Kantner, David Freiberg, Slick Aguilar and Donny Baldwin, along with more recent additions Chris Smith and Cathy Richardson. On Labor Day Weekend, Jefferson Starship will be a must-see for residents and tourists alike.

Mojo Risin’, a tribute to Jim Morrison of the Doors, features Drew Johnson who captures every nuance of the Lizard King. The band will perform three shows from 9 p.m. to midnight on Friday, September 3 and Saturday, September 4, each starting after the top-of-the-hour Viva Vision shows on the 3rd Street Stage.

This will be the final week of performances by Fremont Street Fever. Don’t miss this last chance to catch the original 35-minute production full of high energy singing and dancing featuring the most popular disco songs of the ’70s with such hits as “Shake Your Groove Thing,” “Staying Alive” and “Funky Town.” Produced by Face Productions, this homage to the disco-era music of the ’70s has been dazzling audiences.
