Acclaimed Los Angeles-based artist Jennifer Main is reuniting with her mentor at the new Art encounter gallery in The Forum Shops at Caesars. She will unveil a new collection of her distinctive artwork exclusively in Las Vegas, her hometown, at Art encounter beginning Feb. 7, 2014 (Pictured: Jennifer Main with two pieces of her artwork)

Art encounter launched me in my career as an artist back when I was 17 years old,” said Main. “I am so excited to be back working with them again!”

As a young girl growing up in Las Vegas, Main realized her true passion was art. She attended the Las Vegas Academy as a fine arts major and her style began to emerge. By the time she was 17, she decided to become a full-time artist. She showed her work to a local gallery Art encounter and within the first week, her work began to sell.

“My passion to paint drove me,” Main said. “I chose no college and no backup plan. I set my mind on the goal, fully knowing the risk I was taking and never looked back!” She got the keys to her own art studio just before graduating from high school with the money she earned from her Art encounter sales. Her work continued to sell extremely well and the gallery owner Rod Maly took notice. He became her exclusive agent and marketed her and her work all over the country.

Main has remained a successful full-time artist and had her work displayed in galleries all over the country and in Canada. In 2002, she opened the Jennifer Main Gallery and studio in Las Vegas. In 2012, Main and her husband moved to downtown Los Angeles where she currently maintains her studio.

Two of Main’s pieces are in the permanent collection at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts with one of them being a large painted heart sculpture prominently displayed at the entrance. This sculpture raised $40,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and was gifted to The Smith Center by the generous donor.

“It is an honor for us to be representing Jennifer and her fine artwork again,” Maly said. “Watching her grow and succeed as a person and artist has been most rewarding.”
