Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada Announces the JA 100 Year Celebration

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada kicks off the JA 100 Year Celebration of inspiring youth to be 100% ready to succeed in a global economy. The JA 100-day kick off is scheduled on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Kit Carson Elementary 1375 D Street Las Vegas, NV 89106.

The nonprofit organization’s goal is to raise $100,000 and recruit 250 volunteers in the first 100 days, from August 12 thru November 20, 2019 with two campaign initiatives. The first is the 100% Ready Club, highlighting the first 100 donors. The 100% Ready Club are donors who make a monthly gift to support the work of JA year-round.  The goal is to engage donors and community partners to invest today to better prepare children for tomorrow. There are many levels to give and make a community investment impact: $50 sponsors one student, $750 sponsors one class, $3,750 sponsors an entire grade level and $20,000 sponsors a whole school. All gifts will be used to continue the 100-year effort of Junior Achievement preparing today’s youth for the economic challenges they will face in the future.

The second initiative is to Give & Engage with current companies and partners affiliated with Junior Achievement.  The JASN team will meet and present the many ways to give and engage and contribute to their 100-year celebration goal. Please contact Jennifer Bambao, Director of Development at jennifer.bambao@ja.org to get your company involved.

“100 years is a remarkable achievement for any company, and we are ecstatic to be part of such a monumental moment in educational history. With continued support from the local community, we will be able to impact the lives of more children and continue to succeed for many more years to come,” said Michelle Jackson, president of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada.
