Kick Off Your Heels with Pia Zadora at Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Fifth Annual Women’s Day Luncheon Oct. 15
The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open invites the women of Las Vegas to leave their heels behind and don their favorite flats for the Women’s Day Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
The afternoon affair sponsored by Wells Fargo will take place at The Hill, the tournament’s hospitality venue overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes of the lush TPC Summerlin.
KTNV Channel 13 Action News’ longest-tenured anchor Tricia Kean will host this year’s luncheon as Golden Globe winner Pia Zadora performs a selection of musical numbers and bestows a highly anticipated speech. An admired figure in the entertainment industry, Zadora has held a successful career through her memorable accomplishments as a singer, actress, and Broadway star.
“Supporting the Shriners Hospitals for Children means our children in the community and across the nation are able to receive vital medical care regardless of their family’s ability to pay,” said Zadora. “Lending a hand with the annual luncheon is a tremendous opportunity, and I look forward to spending the afternoon with wonderful women who join me in this effort.”
After achieving the New Star of the Year award by the Golden Globes in 1981, Zadora began her singing career where she would soon prevail. Residing in Las Vegas with her husband, Zadora has shown support for numerous community efforts including the Nevada Children’s Center’s Great Gatsby Gala and San Francisco’s Rrazz Room’s Third Annual Rrazziversary. Zadora will share her personal accounts of triumph, bravery and personal devotion to children’s health and wellness for the fearless female leaders in attendance.
Buca di Beppo will provide a marvelous mid-day meal, highlighting the restaurant’s signature dishes as guests enjoy the picturesque landscape of TPC Summerlin and the company of good friends. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to win coveted items in the prestigious silent auction.

The 2013 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open brings the FedExCup to Las Vegas as the PGA TOUR returns to the Las Vegas valley for the 31st consecutive year. Many of the top golfers in the world will participate in the competition and help support the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children, from October 14 – 20.
