Kumi and Red Square Celebrate Las Vegas Restaurant Week
Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar and Red Square Restaurant + Lounge in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will be participating in Restaurant Week June 17-28, presented by Three Square Food Bank for its annual celebration of dining out for a cause. Kumi’s high-end dining experience features a modern Japanese menu with a Korean-American twist by award-winning chef Akira Back. The 10,000 sq ft space replicates Japan with cherry blossom canvases and raw natural wood interior for a sophisticated ambiance.

KUMI Japanese Restaurant and Bar by Chef Akira Back has received extraordinary support and welcome since their opening. The restaurant features a modern Japanese menu with a Korean-American twist. Guests are welcomed by an extraordinary ambience of raw natural woods, hammered steel accents and touches of red lacquer to compliment the dining experience. Kumi is the principal culinary destination for Japanese cuisine in Las Vegas. Kumi’s menu features Chef Akira Back’s signature Korean-American twist on traditional Japanese dishes. Constantly inspired by his childhood and global travels, menu items include a variety of shared plates such as Whitefish Carpaccio with hirame, dried shallot, Nanbanzu and Rock Shrimp Tempura with Siracha ranch, micro celery. Traditional Japanese entrees are complemented by Chef Akira’s creative specialty rolls, which include the Seoul Garden with baby spinach, carrots, grilled shiitake, Pop Rockin’ with spicy tuna, crab, salmon, avocado and pop rocks, and the 007 Octopussy with crab salad, spicy octopus and crispy potatoes.
