“For those who want something well-written and performed, offbeat, wildly-entertaining and adventurous, while still sticking strictly to country music’s roots, a swim through this debut record by Jimbo Pap will be a hoot, and right down your alley.” Saving Country Music

Jimbo Pap, whose name is an amalgam of the three core bandmates’ names: Jim Bowers, Bo Brannen, and Pap Shirock, is a band that makes relatable music about heartaches, tough breaks and city life with co-ed vocals and a wry sense of humor that doesn’t strain to be overly clever. Cal Campbell, son of the legendary Glen Campbell, also plays in Jimbo Pap. It Can Always Get Worse nods to some decidedly old-school influences while still living in a semi-modern, rock-influenced world.

“Taking their cue from the casual honkytonk and cool country sounds that informed bands like the Byrds and the Burrito Brothers, the group finds a core connection with their upbeat enthusiasm and an effortless delivery that makes every song seem to shine.” -Goldmine

“The net effect is a rather attractive album that grows over repeated listens until you find yourself welcoming each track with warm familiarity.” – Americana UK
