Books and materials are divided up into categories as follows: cookbooks, health, history, textbooks, autobiography, sports, travel, law, computer, art, music, self-help, diet, science, fiction, nonfiction, romance, teens and kids’ books, as well as DVDs, CDs, and LPs.

“Avid book collectors flock to our book sale events and we’ve even seen lucky shoppers walk away with valuable signed copies from award-winning authors,” said Dr. Ronald R. Heezen, executive director of the Library District. “Last year, one customer discovered a signed copy of ‘Fortunately, The Milk’ by Newberry Medal and Carnegie Medal winner Neil Gaiman. What a great find that was! Our Annual Holiday Book Sale is a great chance to find something special that will cross a name off your shopping list.”

Members of the public are sure to unearth amazing finds and bargains galore on various media, with some items discounted as low as 50 cents. All proceeds and donations to the Library District Foundation are used to fund new resources and priority projects for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, such as Teacher Tutors, Teen Tech Labs, and the new Nevada CareerExplorer.

The Library District provides access to thousands of materials at its 25 local library branches, as well as millions of items found through the District’s website. Library cards are available to residents free of charge. For additional information about how to #GetCarded, visit lvccld.org.
