Las Vegas Shakespeare Company Presents Shakespeare On The Lake Season Premiere Nov. 12

The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company (LVSC) and Garfield’s Restaurant present their inaugural Shakespeare Repertory Season, Shakespeare on the Lake, opening Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Lakeside Theatre in Summerlin/Desert Shores, 2620 Regatta Drive.

LVSC made Shakespeare a hot ticket in October with their adaptation of “Macbeth” bringing in record numbers to Henderson’s Shakespeare in the Park, scoring standing ovations and four-star tributes. Now LVSC takes Shakespeare from the park to the lake.

The Shakespeare on the Lake season features: “Shakespeare’s Roses,” a 90-minute one-man tour-de-force which takes an intense look past the genius and into the emotions of a very human Shakespeare; a special adaptation of “Hamlet”; and “A Taste of Shakespeare,” a compilation of four Shakespeare classics distilled into 20-minute performances including “Romeo & Juliet,” “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Macbeth” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The season will run Fridays through Sundays until Feb. 27, 2011, holidays excepted, with each play performed every weekend. Tickets are $40, $50 for two and $20 each for three or more, seniors over 55, students with ID, and active military. Please visit www.lvshakes.org/tickets to purchase tickets or call 702-220-5872 or 702-925-8333.
