Las Ventanas Celebrates Grand Opening of Ronald Reagan Memory Support Suites
Las Ventanas at Summerlin, a continuing care active adult community, unveiled the Ronald Reagan Memory Support Suites on Monday with a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting.

The Ronald Reagan Memory Support Suites represents the fourth level of care at Las Ventanas, in addition to independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing. It is the only not-for-profit memory support community in Las Vegas, serving individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Special guests included Las Vegas Councilman Stavros Anthony and representatives from the offices of Senator Dean Heller and Congressman Joe Heck. Construction of the 16-unit facility was made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Las Ventanas Foundation Committee, which raised more than $1.5 million.

“We felt there was a need for memory support services in the greater Las Vegas area, and through the tireless efforts of our staff and the Las Ventanas Foundation Committee, the dream of constructing a world-class memory support facility became a reality,” said Jonathan Boyar, Executive Director of Las Ventanas at Summerlin.

The Ronald Reagan Memory Supports Suites features a separate dining room, activities area, lounge, and outdoor patio/garden area for its residents. Caregivers at the facility will adopt the innovative Best Friends Approach to care, establishing meaningful relationships with residents by using their life stories to form a connection.
