The out-of-this-world festival will convene the largest collection of art cars outside the playa created by some of the country’s most brilliant installation artists, including 30-foot alien creatures, praying mantises, rhinos, monsters, alligators, swans, and even a stapler.

At 7 p.m., the cars will proceed from Llama Lot at Ogden and 9th Street, then run down the Las Vegas Strip to Harmon before turning to return to Llama Lot.

An all-ages, art-filled immersive experience festival will follow from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with fire dancers, live DJ performances, food trucks, and artist demos. Vehicles on display feature multiple fire shows, LED screens, and thumping sound systems, and can stretch to be more than 25 feet long and over 30 feet high.

“When we found out that Nevada could lose nearly a million dollars for art programs, we knew something had to be done,” said Kris Cuaresma-Primm, Lyft Nevada marketing lead. “Arts programs are more than teaching us to paint or draw, they’re fundamental in teaching a creative process to solve social problems from traffic to job creation to climate change. Lyft is proud to work with Fired Up Management and First Friday Foundation to support local art programs.”

“Events like this and brands like Lyft are so important to the fabric of the social community to extend the message and culture of giving back to the world,” said Joshua Levine, owner of Fired Up Management. “This is more than a festival; this will be an intergalactic immersive experience for all.”

To make the festival accessible to everyone, Lyft has made general admission tickets free while supplies last with RSVP at artcarfestival.com. “Philanthropist” ticket packages start at $75 per person and feature various festival upgrades including an open bar at Atomic Liquors, free credit with Lyft to encourage responsible rides, and express entry to the festival. Ticket buyers also have the opportunity to make a donation to be entered to win a ride in an art car during the procession.
