Marquis & Aurbach to Hold Ninth Annual Blood Drive Oct. 8
The law firm of Marquis & Aurbach is holding its ninth annual blood drive Friday, October 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit United Blood Services (UBS) and the needs of people in the community. UBS alerts there is a constant need for blood in Las Vegas as only two percent of the Las Vegas population donates blood in comparison to six percent across the United States.
In the past, Marquis & Aurbach with 85 employees, far exceeded its goals set for them by UBS – goals second only to major Las Vegas hotels with 100s of employees and far more than two of the major Las Vegas hospitals. During last year’s blood drive, Marquis & Aurbach collected 53 pints of life saving blood. The local hospitals go through 200 units per day, and one unit can save up to three lives. Marquis & Aurbach is committed to giving back to the community, and the annual blood drive is one of the many ways it does so.
The blood drive is being held at Marquis & Aurbach’s office located at 10001 Park Run Drive. Every donation from the public is much appreciated. All donors will receive one complimentary ticket to a Las Vegas Wranglers home game to be used anytime between October 23 and November 13, 2010 as well as an offer to purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
