Marriage Proposal at Glittering Lights on Christmas Eve
She said YES! Michael McEwen, 22, of San Diego proposed to his girlfriend of several years, Kayla Shakespear, 21, of Las Vegas on Christmas Eve at Glittering Lights.
The proposal took place along the Avenue of Trees at the exit overlooks the city.
The couple met at Dixie State University, St. George, UT. McEwen is studying to become a paramedic, and Shakespear a teacher.

As he was setting up, Michael said, he drove through Glittering Lights last year with Kayla, and when thinking about how he would propose, thought Glittering Lights would be nice. “I was going to propose ice skating, but I never ice skated before,” he said.
