Mayor’s July 23 ‘March On’ Community Meeting Will Feature the Henderson Police Department

will host her next ‘March On’ community meeting on July 23 highlighting the Henderson Police Department’s efforts to enhance public safety and how Henderson continues to be one of the safest cities in America. 

Mayor March will be joined by Henderson Chief of Police LaTesha Watson, who will discuss her vision for a new approach to community policing and the initiation of data-driven law enforcement policies that are already working to improve the quality of life for Henderson residents.

There will also be presentations by Deputy Police Chief Thedrick Andres and Deputy Police Chief Michael Denning, who will discuss the Henderson Police Department’s new L.E.A.A.D.S. and S.A.R.A. Model initiatives as well as how community engagement is boosting the department’s ability to protect and serve.

Attendees will be able to take officer-guided tours of the North Police Station, see exhibits of police equipment and interact with staff at display booths highlighting Henderson Police’s areas of focus, including the K-9 Unit and S.W.A.T. Team. All ages are welcome and refreshments will be served.

The Mayor’s monthly ‘March On’ meetings are designed to encourage open dialogue between neighbors and city leaders regarding issues of importance to those who live in Henderson. Mayor March is joined at each event by City of Henderson staff and community partners who answer questions and provide information to residents.
