Melody Sweets Brings New Single “Flavor of the Month” on August 16, Music Video Release on August 23 and Live Event at the Chocolate Lounge at the Sugar Factory on August 27
Las Vegas-based chanteuse Melody Sweets will release a trio of tasty treasures, starting with her new single, “Flavor of the Month,” a delicious blend of musical flavors, bringing her sultry vocals and big-band, burlesque style to this hip-hop classic on Friday, August 16, 2019. With “Flavor of the Month,” (originally recorded by Black Sheep), Sweets has enlisted the talents of some of the most sought after and acclaimed producers, musicians and performers in Las Vegas for the single, music video and live event. Performers and musicians from Absinthe, Celine Dion’s orchestra, Chippendales, Cirque du Soleil, Crazy Girls, Jubilee, Lady Gaga’s band, Magic Mike Live, Moulin Rouge Paris, Opium and Las Vegas’ best in Burlesque and PinUp, round out the eclectic cast involved with the project.
Among the musical talents featured on the single are: Executive Producer, Mike Williams; Producer/Arranger, Eric Plante (Cirque du Soleil), who is also featured on keyboard, bass, drums and tenor sax; Horn Arrangement by Dave Richardson (Santa Fe & the Fat City Horns); Trombone, Nathan Tanuoye (Celine Dion); Trumpet, Gil Kaupp (Lady Gaga); and Alto Sax, Rob Mader (Queen Latifah, Quincy Jones). The single was mixed by acclaimed, Tony Award-winner Tim O’Heir (Broadway’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch/All American Rejects). The music video was produced and directed by Robert John Kley.
The flavors keep coming when Sweets parties with many of the guests in her music video – cast members from Absinthe, Chippendales, Cirque du Soleil, Crazy Girls, Jubilee, Magic Mike Live, Moulin Rouge Paris, Opium and Las Vegas’ best in Burlesque and PinUp, with her live musical, “eye-candy-filled” event at The Chocolate Lounge at the Sugar Factory on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 8:00 pm. The event is open to the public, features a live performance by Melody, music by DJ Einstein and, the first 100 people to subscribe to MelodySweets.com will receive a free download card for her new single.
The critically-acclaimed Sweets has been called “amazing” by music icon and Grammy Award-winner Sting, and has been featured in countless publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Las Vegas Magazine, and The Village Voice among others.
