Memorial Jam In Honor of Wayne Tolen August 13
Wayne Tolen
, 55, of Las Vegas, passed away July 27, 2011. He was born Dec. 10, 1955, in Philadelphia, and resided in Nevada for 35 years.  

Wayne was an accomplished bass player who started his music career in Philadelphia by playing with various musicians throughout his years there, then relocated to Las Vegas playing with Freddy Bell. Wayne’s career continued when he started playing with the Playboy Girls of Rock-n-Roll show in Lake Tahoe. Wayne also played in local Las Vegas bands such as: The Rave, Roger and Claire Vaka, Thompson Cole Project, and many other Las Vegas lounge acts; in addition, he also enjoyed playing with Big Bands throughout the Vegas area.

Wayne’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Community Lutheran Church (3720 East Tropicana), followed by a gathering of friends and Jazz Session from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in his honor at Freakin Frog (4700 S Maryland Parkway (89119) https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=248842488472907

Friends of Wayne, stagehands and musicians are all invited to attend the memorial and following jam session.
