Michael Boychuck Welcomes Spa Professionals Kate Stromberg and Lavetta Fajardo to Color Salon

In a bold move, COLOR: A Salon By Michael Boychuck at Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino introduces beauty extraordinaires Kate Stromberg and Lavetta Fajardo, formally of Kim Vo at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, to their glamorous squad as the Director of Cosmetics and Educational Director.

“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Kate and Lavetta to our team,” says salon owner and celebrity colorist, Boychuck. “They both have immense talent and we know they will bring a new level of glamour and perfection to our clients.”

Stromberg is an experienced spa professional who is fully dedicated to the spa and salon industry. She began her career in Scottsdale, Ariz., the number one market for destination resorts, with an esthetics position at the Boca Spa. She has experience as an instructor at the Aveda Institute Las Vegas and also maintains four licenses to teach and esthiology in two states.

Stromberg eventually moved from Scottsdale to Las Vegas and worked at Green Valley Ranch and Luxor spas. She also opened the Kim Vo salon located in the Mirage Hotel and Casino, as the Director of Beauty and Cosmetics. While at these luxury spas, she has been able to learn and apply management techniques used in multi-million dollar operations.

By having experience in the worlds’ three most trendsetting spa markets, and training in over ten product lines; Kate is uniquely qualified to create and maintain a cosmopolitan operation. Stromberg has had the pleasure of working with celebrities such as Khloé Kardashian, Juliette Lewis, Katie Cassidy, LaLa Vazquez, Whitney Port and Nicole Scherzinger.

Fajardo, who was recently named one of the “Top 20 Under 30” by Vegas Magazine, is an extremely skilled stylist, executing fabulous haircuts and stunning red carpet styles for Hollywood’s hottest, such as Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Jenny McCarthy and Courtney Love.

Her dedicated and extraordinary talent has not gone unnoticed – she was featured in InStyle Magazine’s Beauty Blackbook as Las Vegas’ go-to stylist for precision cutting and hair styling. She was also recognized by Salon City in BE Magazine as one of the “Top 40” hair extension specialists with her work in extension artistry.

George Maloof partnered with Boychuck to open AMP salon at the Palms in 2001. AMP is known for its laid back style and is popular among the city’s most stylish locals. COLOR opened in late 2007 at Caesars Palace and is Boychuck’s largest salon. Its luxurious design by Faye Resnick provides guests with style, in style. His newest salon, PRIMP, opened in May 2008. The minimalistic salon is an oasis for guests and residents alike at the lush Palms Place.

The celebrity stylist first moved to Las Vegas nearly 10 years ago to open a branch of Laurent D’s Beverly Hills salon, Prive at Bellagio. He went on to direct the Salon at Canyon Ranch at The Venetian for several years. Recently, Boychuck was named one of the “Top 50 Hairstylists” in the book by Rick Morton and COLOR was named “Top Las Vegas Salon” by the Las Vegas Nightlife Network.

Best known for his work with longtime clients and friends Paris and Nicky Hilton, Boychuck and his salons have an impressive celebrity client roster that includes Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst, Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas, Jennie Garth, Willa Ford, Shannon Doherty, Donna D’Errico, Josie Bissett, Kathy Hilton and Susan Anton.
