Will another Miss Nevada USA be crowned Miss USA for the second year in a row? Nia Sanchez, Miss Nevada USA 2014 was crowned Miss USA in 2014. Now it’s Brittany’s turn!

Brittany and other the state contestants will compete in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown, and interview. The pageant airs live on NBC Sunday, July 12 at 8 p.m. ET.

Miss USA Nevada Brittany McGowanBrittany McGowan is a 25-year-old from Southern Highlands, Nevada who began her career modeling at 16. She has landed numerous national commercial and print campaigns for major companies such as Sketchers and LA Fitness. Her love of being in front of the camera sparked her love to be behind it. She plans to become an independent filmmaker and through cinema hopes to empower women. Brittany is also very passionate about the youth in her country, specifically children who were born with disadvantages in their households.

Brittany has worked hard on a personal project called My World My Way. My World My Way is a personal development philosophy made for teens dedicated to strengthening three basic fundamentals: self awareness, self-respect, and self-reliance. Brittany resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where she continues to work as model and spokeswoman and enjoys hiking in her free time.

The 2015 Miss USA Pageant will take place in Baton Rouge, La. After the success of last year’s telecast, the Miss USA pageant returns to air LIVE from The Baton Rouge River Center Sunday, July 12 (8-11 p.m. ET) on NBC.

The Miss Universe Organization will return to the “Capital City” to produce the 2015 Miss USA Pageant after the tremendous results from last summer.  The telecast shared the best of Louisiana’s vibrant culture and featured its lively music scene, unique food and proud people. On the night of last year’s pageant, hotels showed their largest surge in revenue, with an increase of 25 percent from the same day in 2013. Furthermore, it was reported by local news to be a “tourism victory.”

The 2015 Miss USA Pageant will feature contestants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The show concludes with one contestant ultimately being crowned Miss USA 2015.
