Mondays Dark Makes Waves in the Community with Launch of “The Space” This Fall
One day a month just isn’t enough anymore for creator of Mondays Dark, Mark Shunock. Over the past few weeks, the entertainer and philanthropist has been hard at work on his latest concept, The Space – a community driven charity-based arts complex set to open this fall (Pictured: Mark Shunock)

Located at 3460 Cavaretta Court, the new arts complex will feature a 3,000 sq. ft. raw performance space with a 400-700 person capacity, 125 seat black box theater, two rehearsal studios, podcast/recording studio, and an vintage piano bar and lounge.

“The addition of The Space to the Mondays Dark brand furthers the commitment we’ve always had to this city and our home,” says Mark Shunock, creator of Mondays Dark and MARshun Entertainment. “With this new venue, we are able to offer the community more than one night a month to come together for the greater benefit of Las Vegas.”

The new home for the monthly Mondays Dark monthly fundraisers (beginning in 2017), can also be used for a wide variety of events including plays, musicals, intimate concerts, readings, workshops of all kinds, ancillary fundraising events, parties, and photo shoots. Featuring state-of-the-art technology and a convenient location with ample parking, The Space offers featured charities additional community space and multi-level sponsorship opportunities to local businesses. Furthermore, The Space will offer a variety of kid-friendly productions, classes, and workshops to the youth in Las Vegas.

The Space is currently looking for funding that will assist with operations and the remaining build and design. The fundraiser allows small businesses and individuals to participate and become an integral part of the Las Vegas community, by becoming a member of The Space’s Founding Circle. Donations are limited to 250 and are broken down as follows:

  • For $500, 100 donors will be able to “buy a seat,” proclaiming their commitment to the Las Vegas arts and philanthropic community.
  • For $1,000, 100 donors will be able to support The Space and receive not only a seat in their honor, but one night in The Space to be used at their discretion with the support of MARshun Entertainment and the Mondays Dark crew.
  • For $5,000, 30 donors will be invited to a private concert by Las Vegas entertainers, Mark Shunock, Travis Cloer, Eric Jordan Young, and Chris Lash; one night to produce an event of their choice at The Space with assistance from MARshun Entertainment and Mondays Dark; seat naming; and a custom recognition at The Space for life.
  • For $10,000, 20 exclusive donors will be named Presenting Sponsor for the first year of operation; receive Legacy Member recognition for life; and the private concert experience.

All donation levels are limited. Annual corporate donations and naming rights are also available at various levels, including naming of the lounge, black box space or the mainstage.
